A little bit about Sandra V...

We are a little 50's themed store in a gorgeous little village in the hills. On Burwood Hwy in Tecoma from October, 2011. Only a 10 minute drive from Ferntree Gully, but you'll be transported to another beautiful time and place when you visit Sandra V.

Step back in time, listen to 50's and 60's music while browsing all the unique items available for sale in-store. You'll see Elvis, Marilyn, and Judy Garland on the walls, pinup posters, barbies, vintage hat boxes and coke memorabillia to set the scene. All amongst vintage style clothing, retro giftware and homewares for men, women and children. Some items are sewn in-store by the owner Sandra Vincent under the 'Sandra V' label.

30 days of vintage hairstyles - Day 2

A little cooler today in Melbourne, and once I put on my handmade ‘Jack Daughters’ 1940s inspired tea dress, I could help but go with a 40’s hairstyle vibe. This is probably the simplest hairstyle you could do (and the quickest!). Just a comb on one side of the hair and a twist and pin on the other side. I didn’t take too many pics of this one, but will do some more soon of the other side.

What should we call this one? It reminds me a little of the gorgeous film “The Notebook”.
